Well now. I’ve heard a lot of complaints about word processing programs over the years, and I must say that this one seems to be avoiding a lot of the bad press.

Zoho Writer, available online at www.zohowriter.com, is powered by Ajax and sounds like a program for the highly mobile, online writer. I think one would have to be more mobile than I to take full advantage, but heavens doesn’t this sound fabulous?

New! online tool to create a document, edit in your way, and share with anyone…

You can write, edit, and share you documents online, save them locally or remotely and work no matter where you are? You can save as a .doc, .htm, or .pdf? You can use a single program to do your basic composing and then post directly to your blog? Wow, it sounds like a dream come true! I’m playing with the program a bit now, but would love to hear some first hand accounts of Zoho’s strengths and weaknesses. The review at Tech2all.com is glowing to say the least. I’d love to see little tarnish…

Dear Scott Sigler,

I’m listening to your original podio-novel, “Earthcore,” and it’s amazing. I’m sorry that I’m missing half of it as I write like mad. I promise I’ll relisten after Blogathon is over. I’ve heard all of “Infection” and “Ancestor” is waiting for me at work. You are quickly earning a place of my literary heroes list.

Thank you for breaking new ground for the rest of us!

Sarah

Normally when I think of media for writers, especially movies for writers, I think of movies that revolve around the literary life. In this case, however, I will make an exception.

James McTeigue’s elegant V for Vendetta

Please, folk, lets think about this. The average movie goer may have noted and smiled at V’s introductory monologue, and may have noticed that his speech was odd and elegant through out the film, but only a true word smith can appreciate the amazing skill it takes to construct a mountain of words so seamlessly.
