I’m feeling very ashamed of my terrible writing habits, especially when compared to Allena Tapia’s $1500 Day Every so often I realize that I’m not making anything of my writing because I have no discipline.

Yep. I Suck at This

Well I’m all moved. I have a new roommate with a new kitten. Lucky me!

NanoWrimo is coming up, so I’m “conditioning” for that. Look for more posts (more that zero is easy to accomplish), more poetry, more tech and more of everything in the near future, Be prepared to be inundated with Nano stuff, though, because that is the major creative outlet I’ll be focusing on for the next 9 weeks. You’ll (hopefully) see character studies, hear my moments of procrastination and dread, and maybe, just maybe, even read excepts of the novel itself.

Am I promising more than I can deliver? Probably.

Lovies!

Planning Another Semester

  • Posted on December 4, 2007 at 3:25 pm

Perhaps this is foolish.

No. Scratch that.

This is really quite foolish.

I’ve picked my classes for next semester.

At The University of Colorado Denver, HSC I’m taking

  • The History of the English Language
  • The Theory & Practice of History
  • Immigration & Ethnicity in American History (Online)

And at Front Range Community College I’m taking

  • Spanish Language I (Online)
  • Weight Training(Maybe)

for a total of 14 or 15 credits. Mind you, I’ve also secured a regular part time job with full bennys, and some tuition assistance, so I don’t have to worry about my financial situation the way I did last year.

I really shouldn’t be taking so many credits. I know that. I just want to get this thrice damned language credit out of my hair. “Why the history classes,” you ask> Well, If I’m stuck here for another year no matter what I do, I might as well get that History minor.

NanoWriMo ‘07 Wrap Up

I suck. I suck. I really really suck.

I think I’m going to try doing my own writing month early next year. I can’t seem to dedicate enough time to writing with the holidays ramping up and the semester coming to a close. I got about 20,00 word, 2/5 of the desired total.

No matter the weight in silver or gold,
no bauble is worth as much as the soul
of this place where we come to preserve
or to change our lives are we know them

Bring child in, block child out
Pass child on, take child home
Love child now, plan for child soon
Watch child grow, give child health.

No matter the weight in silver or gold,
no bauble it worth as much as the soul
of this place where we come to preserve
or to change our lives are we know them

(Planned Parenthood Poem #5 and the worst of the lot! I rewrote it a dozen times and Its really just terrible!)

5/49 One and Half Hours

Well crumbs. This is harder than I thought it would be. I haven’t stopped typing for longer than it takes to make a potty stop!

Tips I’ve seen for staying up all night:
Stay cold. It’s hard to fall asleep.
Get help. (Hey readers, this means youz!)
Stay hydrated and eat health (Good advice.)
Stay active. Get up and move around if you can, or at least interact with other bloggers. (Of heck yeah)

My biggest tip? Well, as above, stay hydrated. But for different reasons. I can’t sleep if I need to pee! LOL

*starting an new pot o’ coffee*
